    Shock ? Compression and rebound

I have a shock question for you guys.. I just got my shocks back this afternoon(QA1's).. I had them changed to an R series, it was my understanding the compression was a constant 90 while I could adjust the rebound from 10 on up.. The compression still seems fairly easy, when I adjust the rebound it gets progressively harder to pull out the shaft(as it should) but the compression doesn't change.. I guess we'll see how they do on the car. I always thought drag shocks worked on the premise that they let the front end come up easy and down slowly.. These shocks seem the opposite to me(at least by hand).. Anyways I'm sure I've confused you by now..lol

Hmm that sounds strange. If they are fairly easy to push in by hand then they will damn sure be even easier to push in with the car. But on the car you also have springs to assist in that as well. I don't know how much of a tolerance the springs have on letting the front back down matched with the shocks. I don't know if I am making much sense or not. But you are more than likely just going to have to run it and keep adjusting as no two cars are never the same. I was told to start the fronts out as soft as possible and the rears as stiff as they will go and work it back till you get it down. Adjust the front 1 setting, run it, adjust the rear 1 setting, run it, and etc. You already know that for sure though. But maybe a suspension guru could help a lot more than I.

I got what you're saying Kevin.. I called the shop where they were rebuilt and compression is determined by speed and weight.. The quicker they try to compress the slower they compress(more resistance).. So they'll go on this weekend and wait for warm weather to test them out..

Sounds like a winner. I had some on order myself but I think I will hold off on it. I am dreaming of a new plan for my ride right now
