    Lid Preference?

Well, I sold my TSP last night (it never fit very good) and I'm gonna get a new one while I'm putting the car back together....Whatcha got for me? Are there any that fit better, any that flow better...?

No fitment issues with the volant either. I like the way it sounds when you throttle it a bit.

HAHA. It's one of the most overlooked cold air intakes.

I wonder if the volant works without the ram air??? One nice clean way to set it up like what I did. I bought a new stainless radiator support and only used the filters from the volant and a smooth bellow and let the filters rest on the radiator cover. Looked wicked.

I have the K&N FIPK kit, replaces the radiator cover with a new black steel one, has a real carbon fiber filter, and replaces all the stock intake rubber pieces with high quality ones, even the bellows with a perfectly smooth one. I cracked one filter from over tightening and K&N sent me a brand new one for free without even asking for a reciept, so they have a great warranty and even let me keep the one I cracked(which is still useable). I also like the volant and if I had a ram air hood it would be on my car now.

I myself tried a couple of lids and could never get them to stay on. The snaps would always pop off. Thats why I went with a volant. But man that KN looks bad ass.

honestly the best bet for ss's and z28's is to use a lid and run the ram air mod (slp, whisper, ssra, etc)

Well I guess it's time to get a turbo vs. supercharger thread going so we don't mess up the lid thread.
