Difference between LS1 and LS2
I know this might sound like a newbie question but I am a newbie :) what is the major differences between the ls1 and ls2 or is it just bigger???

Well for starters like you said it has more cubes. It also has higher compression compared to the ls1. Also improved bay to bay breathing in the block. Higher flowing heads and a slightly larger cam profile.

I believe they also have a 90mm intake and throttle body?

Correct I forgot to mention that and also different coil packs. And a upgraded PCM with additional PE tables for tuning.

they have better oil systems for d.o.d and more cubes better architectural degin
they still use the ls6 / 243 heads but they dont have the hollow sodium filled valves
