Thread: YouTube.com sux!

most of the videos I used to watch are removed by this stupid Warner Music Group. These motherfuckers have been reporting" alot of videos that are not even theirs, WTF youtube?

yeah I hate when that happen
now they have a law that any "copy righted" video must be deleted :S
it always happen when anybody posts a TOP GEAR video!

thats why my videos got deleted, they are going down bro, sux, not youtube but the people that makes all that bullshit, in this case warner music group or whatever

Yea its been happening a little bit now, but now they are really cracking down. Theres also a few companies that allow you to keep the video up as long as you allow the owner of the material, be it music or whatever else, to veiw stats of the video and place ads on the page. I had one where Universal claimed that some music on one of my videos(which is rare cause I don't use a lot of music) was theirs but they would allow it to stay up. All I had to do was allow them to view the videos stats and for them to place things on the page.

I eventually deleted the video as I made a better version.

i'm honestly suprised my Dyno vid wasn't pulled. I've got some NIN and Bullet for My Valentine on it i probably shouldn't jinx it

Hell yeah it sucks, 3/4 of my vids have been pulled because of universal and warner pulling their copyright bullsh*t on me...a side from lametube blowin' harder than a vegas hooker. The internet in general is sucking these days

What bothers me is that is ok if they dont like their music on videos, I mean youtube cant do anything about that, but man, they have been claiming even songs from people that has original songs, just because WMG says is them, youtube just follows what they say, what the hell is that lol damn

well what's dumb is i BOUGHT the CD's i have the rights to use them right? maybe i'm wrong but that seems the way it should be

yea man, well Im not sure if you have the rights to publish for example a video like we make in most of the forums of cars with music on the background but if thats the case ok, but if you make a song, and just because sounds good WMG will say its theirs? and youtube believes that? damn. Untill now im not going to get upset at WMG cuz probably they will sign us up one day but today it sux

Yes. You did buy the cd, and you have the right to do what you will with that CD. You can use it in your video for your own entertainment. But without getting permission from the original copyright holder its not able to be put out to the pubic, mostly only if its for profit.

Thats brings me to the issue I have with youtube. It is a free service, people are not paying to watch the videos and people posting them aren't getting paid for it either. If anything its getting the songs out there for more people to hear them. Like I stated before I had a copyright claim on one of my videos before. Youtube mailed me with the options and it was either dispute the claim and go through some crap or allow the copyright claim to be placed on it, the video would stay up and all that but the original owner of the song used could place whatever ads they wanted on it and also view its stats (views and such). Never was threatened to be pulled. Luckily for me, All my videos are of races, airshows etc and I think the 'sounds of speed' are better than any music so I don't use a lot of music on my videos. I do have a few music videos but I am not even going to try as I know they will be pulled


Now the fact that people are loading their own original work, and its getting pulled for copyright... is freaking retarded. But TV shows, I can see why those are getting pulled and I really have no arguement there.

All this is is somebody up the food chain believes there is money to be made and they are losing profits. I don't give it six months before this becomes a pay for use sight which in our economy means it's going to tank!
