What does your setup consist of?

I've got an MTX 4 channel amp, with 2 channels bridged for the sub. Sub is just an MTX 4500 in a stealth box, sounds good for the sub to be as small as it is, I like it because the stealth box is virtually unnoticeable. I've got a set of Planet Audio Vortex mids/highs in the doors and a Panasonic HU. Considering upgrading to Infinty mids/highs and an Infinity Sub with a slightly larger amp....

    Whatchoo got?

With my T/A I had a custom box made by SubThump to fit in the rear. A Kenwood HU, with 2 x 12 in Kenwood 1500 series with a 2000w kenwood amp, and then 2 kenwood 6 x 9, 2 Kenwood 5", and 2 Kenwood 4 1/2" Kick panel speakers. Those where all pushed through a 1000 watt amp. Needless to say it was friggin loud, but weighed the car down a lot. Now I have the factory Bose sound and don't plan on changing it.

Sounds nice, but heavy as you said.....The weight is the main reason mine is so simple :)

No I got rid of it with the car. www.subthump.com has the box I had you can let them have a logo or message on it. It looks friggen sweet. But the box weighs 29 pounds.

This time I am sucking up the factory stuff in favor of going faster. Bass doesn't get my adrenaline up but when my car slams my head into the headrest it puts a grin on my face. And I used to jump out of airplanes with a rifle for a living!

Here is my setup..cheapest route I could go and sound pretty good.
I'm running the stock Monsoon amp
Infinity Kappa 62.7i speakers in the doors(direct replacement speakers and 2 ohm like stock)only in Camaros(has dual inputs just like stock and no need to cross over.
Infinity Kappa 62.7i in the sailpanel, work great and fit perfect, best if have subs for the low bass..2 ohm just like the stock Camaro speakers..pontiacs have dual voice coil and doesn't work as well.
I ran the far hatch speaker wires to the highs in the sailpanel.
Subthump Millhouse box, it replaces the rear well cover and holds 2 10's, when I want to use the T top holders the box flips back and points up.
    2 Memphis Audio 10's
MTX old school 500 watt RMS amp
    Optima Red top
    3 farad Cap(which I think is a waste)
    Kenwood x790 cd/mp3
PAC swi-x to retain steering wheel controls
2002 Z28 A4, sebring silver, 3400 stall-transgo kit-cooler, LT's, Fipk, LCA's, DD SFC's, STB, Magnaflow CB, Predator tune. Kenwood x790 hu, 4 Infinity 62.7i kappa speakers running off stock monsoon amp, millhouse flip box, 2 Memphis audio 10's and MTX old school amp. Stull grill, Z06 motorsports, tint, Z06 style Z28 emblems, tail blackouts, black halo's, etc etc.

Did you wire the PAC SWI-X switch yourself? I bought one of those for my T/A and gave up on trying that thing. The instructions are a waste of ink IMO. Geez theres a lot of wiring involved in that.

I did the PAC myself...have done a few others cars since. The PAC is only like a 2 wire hookup, I had issues at first because I tapped into the wrong blue wire, once that was figured out, worked great. I did get a swi-x that was broke from the factory once though and was driving me crazy trying to program it. The sensor for the pac is in the console above my cd player and hidden. Newer models out don't even require one, they just plug in.
Will get a picture of the millhouse box in the a.m, love the box and bass is excellent. Too bad they quit making it, used to come in custom vinyl with logos etc. Could easily be made custom though.

Nah, it really is simple.. On the set of wires coming out of the pac swi-x, there are only like 3 total used..a +, - and the one that connects to the blue wire for the steering wheel controls. The rest I cut off. Then I drilled a small hole to fit the sensor and have it pointing down below the fog switch..only way this works good is if you have a cd player that you can adjust the faceplate to tilt a little. Over the past few years it has worked great. Programing the buttons took longer and was a little bit frustrating since it will time out quick.

Box down, looks warped but is distortion in the photo.

Old JL audio 10's, had meltdown lol

Stock 98-02 Camaro 2 ohm speaker on right (can see the inputs on the top and bottom), 1 set is highs and 1 set goes to woofer
On left Infinity 62.7i, 2 ohm speakers like stock, can see the inputs on the top and bottom also, just like the stock ones. They are the only 2 ohm speaker made that is a direct replacement for the 98-02 Camaro doors. The factory tweeter is 4 ohm, but the infinity is 2ohm, will not hurt anything, highs don't draw as much power and I know many people that use these and never a issue. If you put these in your Camaro don't use the crossover or if you do only use it on the woofer input. The monsoon amp had a crossover built in and the infinity has a crossover on the tweeter built in.

More pictures below since I know many can use this info:
    http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...4_112_full.jpg
installed to show perfect fit with no modifications. Plus tweeter rotates for better sound and can be turned a few dbl's up for better highs.
    http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...4_110_full.jpg
    Shows factory wires(both sets)
    http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...4_111_full.jpg
Infinity 62.7i's- shows dual inputs like stock, just connect to the stock wires as shown in the picture above this making sure you get the right wires(1 set of the factory wires only puts out bass). Then install like stock..no adaptor plate is need, depth is the same, sound is great on the stock amp.

Any info needed you can pm me. I have done writeups on other Camaro boards about how to install these. I also have them in my sailpanel and they fit great, but is a little different setup than the doors)doors are just like replacing a stock speaker), sailpanel has a few things to get the speakers sounding good that need to be done. If putting in the sailpanel, I would do it only if you have a seperate sub, so they can be used for mid bass and highs if you run the hatch wire to the tweeter.

That flip up box is sweet. I also like those infinity speakers. You know of any factory replacements for the boses in my vette??? They are super clear and sound good but lack bass.

No it wouldn't be in the way. He just showed it flipped up so he can put the ttops in. I think when there is no ttops it flips down flush. Correct me if I'm wrong rotwiler.

Correct dixonk, the box replaces the factory rear well cover, so normally it is down like in first picture. In the upright position for t tops it is almost flush with the back seat, so even then it is fine for visibilty. It is also easy to remove for at the track, unplug the speaker wire and lift the box out of those grooves. When they used to make them, you could buy them carpeted or with vinyl covering it with raised emblems in the vinyl(firebird, camaro, bowtie, pontiac, trans am etc).. I decided to go cheap and get just the plain carpeted box, wish I would have paid and bought a vinyl covered one. Also when they made them, they set them up for the type of subs you used with seperate c.f on each side. They make a t top box now, but replaces the rear well and has a slot for the t tops to slide in, which I don't like as much and then I would lose well space.

Another thing, when the box is pointing straight up, the bass is really crappy. If I put a 2x4 piece under the box towards the backseat and have the subs pointing directly at the rear hatch window, the bass sounds great again. I really don't take my t tops off, but about 5 times a year, so it sits pointing down the rest of the time. Makes for a pretty stealthy setup and easy to remove..hid my amp etc.. in the wheel well where the spare tire mounts.
