Most I've seen on the front are 9", and the back is 11", with the correct backspacing...

Just remember, "what can fit" is ALL relative...you could always have em stick out a wee bit and fit more, but ROLL YOUR FENDERS

Rolling would be a lot better than them sticking out the fenders. Never go with more than a 1/4" spacer for sure.

It depends on if you are willing to roll your fender lips or not, and if the car is lowered. A 315 on an 11 is a "no-brainer" if the fender lips are rolled.
If you dont want to roll the lips stay with a 10 and a 285.
One thing that you must keep in mind as you try to go bigger and bigger with the wheels and tires; No car is exactly the same one to another, its just the way it is. Straight from the showroom floor cars are not exactly the same side to side, or one to another. You can line up 10 Camaros, Corvettes, Firebirds, etc... and they will all be just slightly different one to another. You notice these differences more as you try to fill the fenders with bigger wheels and tires. Each car must be taken on its own merit. Not to mention, tires are not all the same either, brand to brand.
That said, the above sizes will get you off on the right foot.
